You have not seen too many new posts lately; I will do my best to explain why, and I do solicit your response. Please let me hear from you.

I am beyond disappointed with the Republican party. I am completely cynical, and I am discouraged. This is due to this past November’s election.

In my lifetime I have not seen an environment which so favored the non-incumbent. If the Republicans are not capable of winning in that environment (and they are clearly not), then they’re not capable of winning, period.

In three of the four most recent opportunities, the Republicans have had a moderate nominee. In all three instances, they lost. In all three cases, the conservatives – much less other Republicans – could not get energized over their candidate. Sadly, in this last election millions of Republicans and so called conservatives couldn’t be bothered to vote.

I fully understand that any conservative is fighting a huge, uphill battle. Not only does he have to run against his opponent, but he has to contend with these incredibly strong “opponents” as well:
- The main stream Media no longer pretends to by anything other than the propaganda arm of the left.
- The far too idolized entertainment industry is completely in the tank for the left
- The public education system has become an indoctrination center for the left; the further one goes, the more blatant it becomes. But – it starts from day 1.
- Almost half of the population pays no taxes; those of them who vote will vote for the party that keeps their entitlements coming.

Add to that the fact that the Republican party seems completely devoid of leadership. At every opportunity so far, they have caved; they simply don’t know how – or are unwilling to play hardball. Continuing on with that analogy, the Republicans are like an Elementary School T-Ball team playing against the New York Yankees; they are outwitted at every turn. The current president (God help us) regularly lays traps for them; the Republicans seem to literally RUN into those traps. Consider this most recent “fiscal cliff” fiasco.

The left’s use of the recent shootings is nauseating; the degree to which the Republicans have NOT pursued the Benghazi affair is embarrassing. Zero (the sitting president) is about to issue another executive order that further tramps all over the constitution – and yet the Republicans do nothing, besides run and hide. They have no will, no commitment, and no ability to get anything done. In the most literal sense, they are truly a group of losers.

Republicans and their talk show spokespeople congratulate themselves for being ‘right’. They proudly out-argue the imaginary liberals they courageously debate. But in real life, this is somewhat like a car moving forward on a green light because the light says it is ok to do so; what they fail to see is that 18 wheeler who is ignoring the red light, and is about to destroy them. Yet they proclaim “the light is green – we’re right”. Then they get slaughtered.

The absolutely unexpected and lethal blow came when the true colors of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court were revealed. Knowing that Zero also has the Supreme Court in his pocket, and understanding that he will be appointed no less than one new Justice within the next four years, we can be completely confident of a Supreme Court who will essentially rubber stamp the continued destruction of the US Constitution.

I’ve had it with Fox News. I’ve had it with Conservative Talk Radio. These are guys who simply proclaim that “the light was green” – but they ignore that huge truck that has crushed us all. Why on earth should any of us take anything that Dick Morris says seriously? I’ve turned them all off, as to me they now represent nothing but noise.

So – I am discouraged. Thirty-five years ago I moved to this country because I loved the opportunity I saw. I experienced it. So to see it taken away, piece by piece, is heartbreaking. To see the dismantling of the greatest country on this planet – and to see the so called conservative and Republican public do nothing – is infuriating. I fear they won’t fully realize what they’ve lost until it’s gone. Four years from now, this country will be just a shadow of what it was just a generation or two ago. Don’t let anyone every again try to tell you that a president really doesn’t make much of a difference. The current president outsmarted Hillary; he and whoever it is that is controlling him has been outsmarting the entire Republican party ever since.

If there is a liberal or two reading this, I’m sure you’re greatly encouraged. If there are any Canadian liberals (redundant, I know) reading this – then you are doubly encouraged – because a weak America is, for you, great cause to celebrate. Or so you think.

I welcome all responses – but I particularly am interested in any opposing views – - any views that may offer some encouragement.

The following letter, written by U.S. Marine Joshua Boston and headlined “No ma’am.,” was posted in the CNN iReport on Dec. 27 with the included note from the producer and photo. It has struck a nerve with many and is being circulated around social media venues like Twitter and Facebook.

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.

I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

This morning on Twitter, CNN’s Piers Morgan answered “of course I am, you moron” when asked if he was “gleeful that a tragedy happened to help you push your cause.”

It’s a very sad day, and our hearts break for all those connected to the victims in CT.

And it’s a very sad day, as we see the liberal members of congress trying to “never let a crisis go to waste”. Guns, of course are the issue – and in their view, guns alone are to blame. This, of course, is nonsense.

When a convicted DUI criminal kills someone, is the appropriate response to inact laws prohibiting non drinkers to own cars?

If the liberal logic is taken to its natural conclusion, then the first thing that needs to be outlawed and criminalized is alcohol. 30 people die each day from alcohol related car accidents. Tens of thousands of people die each year from alcohol related illness, and accidents. So – let’s ban alcohol! Think of all the lives that would be saved!

And of course, we can’t forget about smoking. Over 500,000 Americans die each year as a result of using tobacco the way it is inteded to be used! (That’s three jumbo jets a day, folks) So – let’s ban cigarettes! We’d save, over time – and not much of it, 500,000 lives every single YEAR!!!

One that the liberals definitely do not want discussed would be this: The illegal, criminal alien poplulation. 36,000 illegals were essentially “let go” in the sense that they will never be pursued – - this decision was made, of course, by Barry and his anti-American fans. 36,000. In the past very few years, over 26,000 illegal aliens have been arrested – - those are the ones that have been caught! We can’t even imagine the number of those who have not been caught, since there’s no real effort on the feds’ part to go after these criminals. There have been over 57,000 crimes committed by the illegals that have been caught. (not deported, mind you – - we can’t do that). Over 1000 extremely violent crimes were committed – including rape, murder, child molestation, and kidnapping. Over 2000 DUI charges were made. This is a group that it destroying the country.

But – nobody even suggests that we go after them. No, no. We must go after the GUNS they use! If we do that, these lawbreakers will suddenly understand that owning and using guns is against the law – - so they will willingly discontinue using them.

What have the liberals been smoking?

The fact is this: where concealed carry permit laws allow law abiding citizens to protect themselves, violent crime is DOWN. Do you think the outcome would have been different in CT if several of the teachers had been armed, and trained as to how to use their weapons? The situation at Clacamas Town Center in Oregon proves that the answer is “yes”. There was, in fact, a ccw citizen who was able – by his very presense and by the criminal seeing the citizen’s weapon – to cause the criminal to do the one good thing he did: that is, of couse, to take his own life. The citizen with the weapon saved lives that day. But you won’t read about it in the press.

And here we are, with our president and his goons talking about further government takeovers of our freedoms – without waiting even 24 hours from the time of this tragedy.

God help us.

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner.

The bill for all ten comes to $100.

If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men — the poorest — would pay nothing
The fifth would pay $1
The sixth would pay $3
The seventh $7
The eighth $12
The ninth $18
The tenth man — the richest — would pay $59

That’s what they decided to do.

The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement — until one day, the owner threw them a curve.

“Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20.”

So now dinner for the ten only cost $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes.

So the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free.

But what about the other six — the paying customers? How could they divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his “fair share?”

The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33.

But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would end up being *paid* to eat their meal.

So the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so the fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the seventh paid $5, the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $12, leaving the tenth man with a bill of $52 instead of his earlier $59.

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to eat for free.

But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

“I only got a dollar out of the $20,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth. “But he got $7!”

“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got seven times more than me!”

“That’s true!” shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get $7 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!”

“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison. “We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!”

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night he didn’t show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate without him.

But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important.

They were $52 short!

Here is what is almost certain to happen very soon:

1. We will get at least one new Supreme Court justice – it may well be two. They will be hard left, activist judges who will be in the tank for Barry. To make things even worse, consider this: it is my committed view that Barry has something on Justice Roberts, who will support Barry’s position on matters when Barry so chooses. When it comes to any decisions that are of real importance to Barry, we may as well not even waste the time of a hearing – because things WILL go the way of the left.

2. Barry-care is now the law of the land. The way things are set up, it is a certainty that many companies will choose to pay the fine over providing insurance; this paves the way for a single payer system, which was the plan in the first place.

3. Unless they initiate a profound change now, the conservative side of the Republican Party is dead. Even though the vivid reality of the last two elections demonstrates how well a “centrist” or “moderate” candidate performs against a complete moron, the party will continue to move to the left. What we have to look forward to is a Canada style party system – where the so called “conservatives” are in fact as liberal as our democrats. The choices are left, hard left, or extreme left. The Republican Party has essentially committed suicide.

4. Barry and his goons are not going to forget the talk radio personalities who are not ashamed to speak the truth. Look for some form of a “fairness doctrine” bill to be introduced and passed. His goal will be to shut down conservative talk radio.

5. An amnesty bill will be passed. We will see as many as 15 million illegals immediately become legal and able to vote; they will overwhelmingly vote democrat. They will also invite their friends and family members to come to the US, where they can literally vote for their own entitlement programs. There will be a tsunami of immigrants who will play a major role in the destruction of the system, and of the society.

6. Taxes will be raised. The top 5% of wage earners currently pay 60% of the taxes. The top 10% pay 70%, and the top 20% pay over 90%. According to Barry, that’s not enough. Taxes will go up.

7. Many companies will leave the US, and start doing business elsewhere. Also, a tremendous number of companies will downsize, due to the onerous burden of increased taxes AND the increased cost due to the mandatory health care. The result? A major increase in unemployment.

8. Republicans in congress will be even more spineless. They will cave on major issues, in hopes of keeping their seats. Look at what’s already happened – just DAYS after the election – with regard to increasing taxes, and putting out the welcome mat for the millions of illegals.

9. Barry is no longer concerned with re-election. He will no longer even pretend to try and conceal his ideology. His goal was to fundamentally transform this nation; he has been, and will continue to be successful.

God help us.

I believe that there is a reasonable explanation as to why Republicans continue to lose. Further, I believe that the conservative wing of the party is particularly at fault. Here is what I believe to be true: Republicans are far more fixated on being “right” than they are on winning elections. We seem to be more concerned with proving that our position is the accurate one, than we are with winning.

We know that there was a cover up with regard to the Libya. We are “right” on that issue. The problem is that it didn’t make any difference, nor will it. There are many, many examples where we rejoice over data that proves our position as being correct; and while we pat ourselves on the back for being right, the other side wins – because it makes no difference in terms of who votes, and who they vote for.

Our focus should be on winning – but NOT at any cost, as is the case with Democrats. None the less, we should be relentless in our unwavering focus on doing what we need to do to win. Until we do so, we will continue to lose.

As an example of how the Democrats get this right, look at the 2008 election. Barry out smarted and out maneuvered Hillary, and by the time her campaign realized it, it was too late. There were some very hard feelings between those two camps, and those who supported them. However, when Barry became the nominee, the party came together and focused on winning – and win is exactly what they did.

The republicans, on the other hand, never did come together – not in 2012, and definitely not in 2008. Far too many on the hard right did not consider Romney conservative enough – so they stayed home. The Christian right was even worse; they couldn’t bring themselves to vote for a Mormon. So they patted themselves on being true to their beliefs, while Barry cruised back into the White house. The republicans didn’t deserve to win, and the cost to the country – and to the future – is incalculable. If we don’t wake up and grow up and learn to play this game right now, this country will be lost.

It’s up to us. What will we do?
